The Mālama 'Āina Project, spearheaded by nonprofit Akua Seva, announced its inaugural event on Friday, December 15th. This community empowerment gathering marked the first phase of an ambitious mission to enrich and empower Lahaina's and Maui's community through ecological restoration, sustainable land stewardship, and positive change.
As a symbolic gesture of rejuvenation and unity 70 trees, including ulu, kukui, and milo, were planted utilizing volunteers.
